Deployment Quilts

My MOST popular creation is The Deployment Quilt.

The idea for this quilt came about as a necessity when my own children were faced with losing their father for a year while he fought the War on Terror in Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Here I was with a husband who was deploying, and three children who didn’t know what the word “deployment” meant.  I was trying to think of something that would ease their pain when he left, so I came up with The Deployment Quilt.  My own children’s quilt has pictures of them and their dad on it so that when they were sad, they could look at the quilt and talk to him, hug on him, and love on him.  Sometimes they even cried on him when they were missing him so much.  Those quilts also had a panel on the back with his handwriting built into the quilt so that God-forbid something happen to him, they had something written in his own handwriting to treasure forever.

My hope is that these quilts comfort those left behind and gives hope to those going away that their family will be okay and will get through this difficult time.  Why not give them the gift of hope and of love with these gorgeous quilts.  Each one is tailor made for your service:  Marine Corps, Navy, Army, Air Force, and the Coast Guard.  They come with the service fabric and embroidery on the front, along with a pocket on the back for those to leave handwritten messages to those left behind.

These beautiful quilts are roughly 45″ x 54″ in size.  The Deployment Quilt with no embroidery is $90 and $125 with the front embroidered.  Pictures can be added to the quilt for an additional cost, as well as extra embroidery.  Each additional picture is $5.

I have generic service-oriented Deployment Quilts and can do personalized quilts upon request.  What a terrific going away gift for a special service member.

Pair one of these quilts and use it as a Baby Quilt and/or with service-oriented Burp Clothsor Tabbie Blankie and you’ve got an American themed nursery.

I just got my first Deployment Quilt shipped to me in the mail a few days ago and it came out even better than in the pictures! WOW! My husband is a Marine and is deployed currently. This is perfect for our son. He misses his dad so much and this helps ease his pain. He snuggles up to it at night and drags it around during the day. Thank you for making something that focuses on the children of our military. I will definitely be sending all my military friends to your website for when their spouse gets ready to go.

I just saw one of your Deployment Quilts and LOVE the idea of a military quilt. My husband is a Sailor and goes on ship for long floats and this would be PERFECT for him to take with him. I will be contacting you to personalize one for me.

My husband retired after 28 years in the Navy and I wish I had had this option when my children were little because they had a tough time when he went on float. My son is a Marine and I’ve got 3 grandchildren who go through deployments so this is GREAT! I want one for each of them. I plan on giving these to them as a Christmas gift. Thank you for thinking of the children. They all have such a tough time when daddy goes so this will be a huge comfort for them.

I LOVE these! I was one of the first ones to receive the deployment quilt a few years ago and every time I look at it, I am reminded of the sacrifices our service men and women go through, as well as their families. It makes me proud to be married to a Marine. Thank you for making my quilt. I look forward to buying another, updated quilt in the near future.

My husband is in the Army but does not deploy but I love these quilts. I want one for the back of my couch to display year-round. I think these are beautiful.
